Anti-Bribery Policy

Purpose

The Centre for Medical Development (CMED) is committed to ethical, transparent business practices and compliance with all laws against bribery and corruption.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, agents, consultants, and third parties representing CMED.

What is Bribery?

Bribery includes offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting anything of value to improperly influence decisions. Examples include gifts, payments, and favors.

Policy Overview

  • Prohibition: Bribery in any form—directly or indirectly—is strictly prohibited, including facilitation payments, inappropriate gifts, and excessive hospitality.

  • Third-Party Compliance: Third parties acting on behalf of CMED must adhere to this policy and are subject to due diligence.

  • Record-Keeping: All records must be accurate, complete, and clear, reflecting transparent business practices.

Responsibilities

Employees must:

  • Follow this policy and relevant laws.

  • Report suspected bribery to contact_at_cmed.org.uk.

  • Seek guidance when uncertain.

Reporting Violations

Report any concerns anonymously without fear of retaliation to contact_at_cmed.org.uk.

Consequences

Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action, termination, and/or legal proceedings.
